Professional recording artist multi-instrumentalist Lou Mars is listed as one of the top 5 Marathon Drummers in the world, and the current number one marathon drummer in the U.S.A. Lou recently set the team drum marathon record along with the other top four documented marathon drummers in the world; in Portugal on September 2017.
Mars also won a "National Hollywood Drum Off" and was also featured in the 'Dixon Drum Your Way to Hollywood' televised special which aired on the Comcast on demand AnR Channel in 2008. The program was edited and reissued by Dixon in 2010 with Mars as the featured artist titled “How to be a Great Drummer.”
In addition, Mars appeared in the Warner Brothers recording artist Sharon MaRee music video "The Way You Love Me" which received heavy rotation on the GMC channel in 2009 and received a Grammy nomination.
In 2010 Mars performed for 5 days straight for the Guinness Book World Record Marathon Drumming category, a total of 108.5 hours to place himself as one of only five drummers world-wide to ever play beyond 100 consecutive hours, and the second longest drum performance ever recorded, 'at the time' of the event.
Lou Mars CD release "Lou Mars V" ranked within the top 10 World Wide and National Indie *ReverbNation Music charts upon its release on 03/05/2015. (*Measurement taken from 3.54 Million). Lou Mars latest “I'm OK, I Think I'm Fine” was purchased by the Bravo Cable Network in 2015 for a soundtrack.
